New Version Big-Fi single
This is the video to the new Version Big-Fi single Youth Man featuring Darius on vocals. Wonderfull as ever.

Version Big-Fi meets …

This third album from Version Big-Fi sees them remake/cover/remix/version classic reggae/dub tracks in their own way … which means making stuff sound as Big-Fi as possible. Listen and download the full album including artwork from here.
Just to wet your appetite, listen below to the dub version remix etc of Marcia Griffiths’ classic Studio One tune “Feel like jumping” which used to be a big hit way back in 1968. This dub is guaranteed to make you dance!
When done listening you should also check Version Big-Fi’s new website, which looks great. Great graphics for some great sounds. What more do we need?
Stop That Train 20
Shame on us for missing out on this newest mix that Version Big-Fi did for their Stop That Train series. It’s even a bit of an anniversary with this one being number 20 in the series. And once again it’s a killer. The festivities start off with Version Big-Fi’s very own Boom Boom featuring General Echo and they end almost an hour later with Afrikaan Beat. In between we’ve been listening to several crucial tracks blended together in an exciting aural trip.
You can get the mix and the playlist over at their blogspot. Enjoy!
Some beats and dubs from Version Big-Fi

Now available from the Version Big-Fi website: Beats, Dubs & Everyting Else Vol.1. It’s a collection of tracks from their first five singles along with unreleased radio, promotional, podcast remixes & dubs. Including the classic dubstep mix of New Order’s Blue Monday, the reworks of the Specials’ Ghost Town and much much more. There’s even an excellent take on Bob Marley’s Is This Love!
Now you can get it all in one package as a free download and enjoy it all day and all of the night. We love this one. A lot!
To give you a little foretaste, here’s also a track where dubstep meets dancehall. Featuring the vocals of Feral.
Version Big-Fi Gives It To Zumbah
Boohbah characters meet Version Big-Fi riding on Bob Marley’s Jammin’ riddim for this clip. Give it to Zumbah.
Just to wet your appetite for their soon to be released “Beats, Dubs and Everyting Else Vol. 1″.
This is the law of dub
Dub of Version Big-Fi‘s fourth single “This Is The Law” (Big-Fi Dub). And if thìs is the law, than we should ever and always pay our respects to it. So, respect (to Version Big-Fi of course ;-).
Stop That Train 19

Another one of those fine fine mixtapes, courtesy of Version Big-Fi. Play it or download it from their blog.
If you want to hear more, you can download all (nineteen!) “Stop that train” podcasts from this link. Highly addictive, highly recommended.
And while you’re there, have a listen at the latest release from this Reading based dub collective. “Hands Up” is once again a smash, with the a-side of this single referring to the classic digital deejay reggae in a UK style and the b-side dubbing it all up into a great party tune. The dub is definitely our favourite, but don’t worry because both tunes are wicked. Big Five once again for this Version Big-Fi tune.
Version Big-Fi – I Make The Hits
Version Big-Fi have a new 7″ for download. “I Make The Hits” comes with the riddim cut on the virtual B-side and with a very low budget (but highly enjoyable) video. Watch, listen and enjoy it.
Stop That Train 18

The Version Big-Fi crew strike again with their Stop That Train podcast. Once again an absolute killer selection of roots reggae and dub cuts old and new. Download, listen and enjoy it from their blogspot.
Version Big-Fi has a “best of” mix online
If any of you would still need an introduction to Version Big-Fi, then now is the right moment. The dub combo from Reading has a new mix on their site. It’s called the Reggae Service Mix and was aired recently on local radio station SineFM. It features tracks from both their albums along with 3 new tracks from the forthcoming “Big-Fi Meets” album and a few tracks that have only appeared as “singles”. So what you get is no less than a best of Version Big-Fi in 30 minutes and all with added dubwize. Time to hear for yourselves why the punky reggae dub of this bass-heavy twosome is so addictive.
