Dub Power with Dziga
“You like bass?”
Uhm, yes.
“Dziga too!!”

Fresh Poulp Records presents its last release of the year 2010. The honours go to Italy-based producer Dziga and his Dub Power ep. It’s his first digital release, containing five tunes mostly inna dubstep style with a few slices of electro dub. Nice one.
And once again a free download.
Abassi meets Dub All Sense
Abassi All Stars meet southern Italian dub crew Dub All Sense for the fourth Dub Conference release. Of course you should buy this one from Deep Root. Sardinia Bass Legalize :: Timeless

Netlabel aquietbump pulls out 4 new tracks from King Kietu and Sensitive Dub, aka Sardinia Bass Legalize. The EP is in their usual intense dub style, but there’s some fresh flavour with the collaboration of Senegal singer Vibesbrain. As you can hear below in the Timeless Version.
Another very fine release and a free download from aquietbump.
Talking machines from Italy
Macchine Parlante is the new release of Italian digital dub duo Jambassa. It’s the fruit of recent collaborations between them (Papa Lele and Gamino de Jambassa) and seven excellent vocalists.
There’s for instance Ltd Candy, which some of you might know from the Jahtari label. With her voluptuous voice she breaks the silence on “Like Silence”. There’s also Giulio Frausin, aka The Sleeping Tree, who takes “Dreada Dan Dread” on higher rasta levels; or Rankin’ Alpha with some militant spoken word on “The Unpresent Spirit”. You also get Camila Monasterio, voice of Spanish dubcombo Hotdrop, on “Unravel” and Ranking Forrest on “Want Rub A Dub”.
These vocalists help make Macchine Parlante one of the best dub releases we’ve heard this year. Papa Lele and Gamino let their sound drift on a warm digital groove, reminding us of the times Rhythm & Sound were still active. Macchine Parlante is rootsy but contemporary, combining hypnotising riddims with urban poetry.
Get this magnificent trip into new dublands from one of he top netlabels: aquietbump. You can download it for free from their site.
Dubzoic live in Rome
Here’s Dubzoic featuring Sista Sara and dubbing it live in Rome.
Also check out their releases. You can download them from the Dubzoic site. There’s for instance these two nice collaborations: “Breathe and bless” with Bandulu Dub and “Step by Step” with Dubosmium. Enjoy!
Indubstria
“Indubstria” is the fourth studio album for Italian dubheads B.R. Stylers, this time experimenting with the border between electronic dub experimentation and the “writing” of reggae in its song form. The album follows the classical Jamaican tradition of song followed by version.
For B.R. Stylers, the album is a romantic and apocalyptic vision of what men could leave to the posterity, as memory of their presence on the earth: the echo of a sound.
In this case the echo is a dub sound in something we got to know as the “italian tradition”. With the music giving us a nice mix of more rootsy classic dubs and the UK sound system style. An extra flavour is added with the smooth and sensual voice of female singer Michela Grena.
You can download “Indubstria” for free from the site of B.R. Stylers.
New Dubzoic featuring Sista Sara
“Dance within” is the brand new single of Dubzoic, once again featuring Sista Sara. If you know Dubzoic, then you know what to expect: classic rootsy dub with a spiritual feel. The single comes in a vocal and an instrumental version. You can play it on the Dubzoic myspace page or download it from Mediafire. And let there be no doubt, it’s definitely a great tune.
Dubzoic
“Let there be dub” is the new single of italian spiritual dubhead Dubzoic. A nice classic rootsy dub, featuring Sista Sara. It should soon be released for download, but you can already prelisten it on MySpace.
Dub from Italy
Bentesoi is the new project of Sardinian dubber Arrogalla and chanteuse Claudia Aru Carreras, mixing traditional music and electrodub. You can download their single “My Nation” along with the version “Nation Dub” for free from their site.
More dub from Sardinia? Sardinia Bass Legalize is the collaborative effort of King Kietu and Sensitivedub. They bring us everything from dub steppas to gipsy dub. You can download their “Visions of my land” for free from the italian netlabel aquietbump.
On the same aquietbump label you can download a nice showcase album of the Italian dUb Community, aptly titled “Showcase Vol. 1″. The compilation contains 10 bands, 10 tracks and 10 versions. To be played with extra bass.
